Computer Science and Engineering
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2008. The department has started B.Tech. Program with an initial intake of 60 in the year 2008 and increased to 120 in the year 2012. The department has also started M.Tech. program with an initial intake of 18 in the year 2012.
The Department has excellent infra-structural facilities with well equipped laboratories providing good teaching learning environment. The department offers various training programs to students and faculty in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation. The Institute is recognized as a local chapter for organizing NPTEL certification courses and number of students and faculty have been certified in various courses. The department has entered into MOUs with various IT industries and students are attending internships through these industries.
The department organizes various training programs related to Technical skills, Personality development and Soft skills to enhance employability skills that lead to good number of placements in Multi National Companies. Our department has an excellent placement record in various multinational companies with good salary packages.
The department has 12 qualified and dedicated teaching staff with very good retention ratio. The faculty members are actively involved in research activities and published/presented papers in National/ International journals and Conferences.
The department is actively involved in R & D as well as consultancy projects and has collaborations with several industries, academic institutes and R & D organizations in the country. The modern air conditioned laboratories of the department serve the teaching and research needs of the students and faculty. All systems are connected to the department LAN through fiber optic which is a part of the Institute LAN network. Internet connectivity is provided by a 30 Mbps link leased from Gateway. Additional facilities like CCF, e-Class room with multimedia facilities, Internet, air conditioned Seminar Hall/Auditorium are also available.
The department has been striving hard to inculcate conceptual and technical skills in students through a scientific teaching methodology based on lectures, case studies, seminars, group discussions, project works, assignments, quiz programs etc. The systematic and well planned approach to problem solving is emphasized in the classrooms, laboratories through the course projects and additional computer training beyond the scope of the syllabus. Teaching aids such as LCD Projector, CD demo, equipment demonstrations, Models, Charts etc are regularly used to enhance better understanding. Around 15 students of each class are allocated to a teacher who keeps a close rapport with each student with regard to academic and personal matters.

M. Tech (Computer Science & Engineering):
M. Tech (Computer Science and Engineering) is a two year full time post-graduate program approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for the students who have a B.E / B.Tech / AMIE in CSE / CSIT / Electronics & Computers Engineering / IT & Computer Science and Systems Engineering. Equivalent (or) MCA. The course is offered by the department of Computer Science & Engineering by highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty. Intake to this course is 18, selected through GATE / APPGECET common entrance test.
The course offers core subjects like Advanced Computer Architecture, Computer Networks, RDBMS, Software Engineering, Language Processor and Operating Systems in the first two semesters and a host of elective subjects like Data structures, Advanced Computer Graphics, Distributed systems, Artificial Intelligence, etc.
A dedicated project work is taken up by every student for the next two semesters. The project work is of high quality basing used in current industry practices. Project work is supported by leading IT MNC’s and defence laboratories doing state of art research and development.
